Bhubaneswar: In a significant move, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge announced the dissolution of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) on Sunday. This decision comes in the wake of the party’s underwhelming performance in the recent Lok Sabha and state assembly elections.

The dissolution order, effective immediately, includes the removal of the PCC President, office bearers, executive committee members, and all associated district, block, and mandal committees, as well as frontal organizations, departments, and cells.

“The current District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents will act as interim leaders until new appointments are made,” the party’s statement confirmed.

Sarat Pattanayak, who was serving as the president of the now-dissolved Odisha PCC, will be replaced as part of this comprehensive restructuring effort.
