Ranchi, April 25: Rural Development Minister and Congress Legislature Party leader Alamgir Alam today said that the party will take a decision on the sex video chat involving Health Minister Banna Gupta after the police investigation report comes.
Alam said that before creating hue and cry about any video, its veracity should be investigated. He said that a decision can be taken at the party level only after the investigation report comes.
The minister said that in today’s era of social media, the picture and the voice of someone can be morphed. Minister Banna Gupta himself, he said, has given a written complaint and has demanded a high-level inquiry into it and after the inquiry the truth comes forward.
On the matter of tarnishing the image of the government, Alam said that today there are hundreds of such people and they have their own thoughts and ideas, but those who make the video viral will not be of any use. The minister said that he will call wrong as wrong and right as right when its investigation is completed and we will be able to take further decisions.
Party’s state president Rajesh Thakur supported the stand saying how action can be taken when a move is politically motivated. He said today a similar case was also reported in Ranchi.
