Ajit Kumar of Sadar Hospital said that following the general rule of the epidemic the case of corona infection has started depleting and by the end of January the cases will die down as it was highly infectious and would have infected several, creating a strong immune system among people against the infection.
“It has been seen that the cases during the third wave are not as serious as it was during the second wave, till now no case has been administered which has any kind of severe lung infection due to the new strain of Covid-19,” Kumar said.
“But at the same time, nothing can be said about the further mutation which can cause havoc. So, the district administration and the health department should be ready for any further possibilities,” Kumar added.
Appealing to the people of the state for getting vaccinated he said that vaccination is a very important tool in quick recovery of the patients as it is observed that severe cases of infection are found in those who are not vaccinated.
At present, 15 districts of the state are in the red zone in administering the second dose to the people.
