Jamshedpur, Oct 4 : The East Singhbhum district administration has revised the timing of mass Covid-19 vaccination drive at the Keenan Stadium in Bistupur.
From tomorrow onwards the vaccination will be carried on for 12 hours from 10 am to 10 pm.
Earlier, the vaccination was being done from 3 pm to 10 pm on a walk-in mode.
Officials of the district health department said they want to give momentum to the vaccination drive keeping in view of the festival season ahead.
” We need to take utmost precautions for the next two months because of the festivals, ” said an official of health department.
Apart from Keenan Stadium the vaccination drive would continue in both urban and rural centres. On average 10,000 vaccinations are administered daily in East Singhbhum.
Health department officials said they have sufficient stock of both the vaccines – Covishield and Covaxin.
Meanwhile, two positive Covid-19 cases were found in steel city on Sunday. The positive cases were reported from Sakchi and Kadma.
