Ranchi, March 4: Security forces are learnt to have arrested a top Maoist Mithilesh Mehta alias Bhikhari who is a member of the Central Committee of the CPI (Maoist).
He is learnt to have been arrested from Gaya on Friday morning. He was the in charge of the Budha Pahad zone of the CPI (Maoist). He had been first arrested in Ranchi in 2009 when he was in charge of Chhatisgarh. After his release he met Prashant Bose at Chakarbanda in 2018.
The next year he was picked in the central committee of the CPI (Maoist) and Prashant Bose gave him the charge of Budha Pahad. He is considered an important catch for security forces. Recently one Bimal Yadav of CPI (Maoist) surrendered who had a fight with Mehta.
