Bihar: The deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar has once again raised serious concerns, as violent crimes like broad daylight murders and shootings continue to rattle the state. Two separate incidents—one in Jamui and the other in Rohtas—have highlighted the audacity of criminals operating without fear.
Elderly Man Brutally Killed in Jamui
In Jamui’s Khaira police station area, 70-year-old Anandi Modi was murdered with a sharp weapon in Gangti Vishanpur village. His throat was slit, causing shock and panic throughout the region. Preliminary investigation suggests a land dispute may have been the motive. Police have reached the scene and launched a probe into the killing.
Laborer Shot in Rohtas Over Theft Allegation
In Rohtas, Ranjit Paswan, a laborer from Kaupa village under Karakat police station, was shot and seriously injured. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
