New Delhi, April 20: Following a dramatic decline in Covid cases across the country on Tuesday, India reported 2,067 new patients in the last 24 hours on Wednesday. While 2,183 infections were reported on Monday, the Union health ministry’s numbers for Tuesday showed 1,247 additional illnesses and one fatality.
The daily positivity rate increased sharply to 0.49 percent on Wednesday, while the weekly positivity rate increased from 0.34 percent to 0.38 percent.
So far, 83.29 crore tests have been administered, with 4,21,183 tests administered in the last 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, 17,23,733 doses were provided, bringing the total number of vaccination to approximately 187 crores.
