Daltonganj, Sept 23: Students, teachers and staff of the station road-based Rotary School, Rotary Club members and volunteers of the Nehru Yuva Kendra, today carried out Swachhata drive in the Gandhi Maidan under the Indian Swachhata League.
The secretary of the Rotary School Anugrah Narain Sharma said Rotary school principal Rupa Singh and her team took this work as a mission. “We always encourage our students to have their surroundings neat and clean,” Sharma said.
Rotary School Principal Rupa Singh said around 18 teachers and students of classes 3-7 carried out the Swachhata drive in the Gandhi Maidan with great zeal and enthusiasm.
“It took us around 2 hours to have this Swachhata drive in the Gandhi Maidan,” Rupa Singh said.
The city manager of Mediningagar Pradeep Kumar said the Gandhi Maidan Swachhata was the fourth phase of the ongoing Indian Swachhata League where the enthusiasm of the students was quite spectacular.
