Patna, Nov 10: Lalu Prasad Yadav, the leader of the RJD, has been afflicted with kidney problems and other diseases for several years. According to media reports, Rohini Aacharya, who lives in Singapore, has decided to donate one of her kidneys to her father in order to save his life.
After doctors in Singapore advised the RJD chief to get a kidney transplant during his visit there in October, Rohini reportedly offered to donate one of her kidneys to her father.
Lalu is expected to return to Singapore between November 20 and 24, at which time he most likely will have a kidney transplant operation.
The second daughter of Lalu, Rohini, who lives in Singapore, had been deeply concerned about her father’s renal problems. It was Rohini who helped arrange for Lalu to travel to Singapore to see a group of specialists who had recommended kidney transplantation.
