Ramgarh, Aug 5: The staff and students of DAV Public School Barkakana in Ramgarh district paid tribute to Tilak Raj Gupta, the Senior Vice-Principal of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi, on his demise.
All the teachers and children of the school kept a two-minute silence. Principal cum Regional Officer of the school, Dr Urmila Singh said, “God may place the departed soul at his feet and give immense strength to the bereaved family to bear the unbearable loss.
A great educationist, TR Gupta was the former Principal of Hansraj Model School, Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi. He was honoured with the ‘Life Time Achievement Award for his diligent work in this ceremony when Mahatma Hansraj Samaroh was organized in Pune in 2019 for his dedication and distinguished contribution to DAV.
He composed the book Ved for the youth of the country which was released by the then Vice President Venkaiah Raman Naidu. Staying in the post of Vice President for many years, he made every effort to lead Arya Samaj and DAV institutions on the path of progress.
