Peshawar, Jan 31: The number of people killed in the mosque blast in Pakistan has risen to 83. 57 victims of the Monday explosion in Peshawar are still receiving medical attention for their wounds, according to a hospital official.
A suicide bomber detonated himself inside the Peshawar mosque while there were close to 400 worshippers there. There were also 27 police officers among the dead.
The explosion was reported the day before an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission arrived in Islamabad to start negotiations on releasing funds for the struggling balance of payments economy of the South Asian nation.
