New Delhi, Dec 1: The air quality in the national capital continues to remain in the ‘very poor’ category on Wednesday, System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) said.

The overall Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 316 earlier in the morning today. Meanwhile, the AQI in Noida was at 346 and in Gurugram, it stood at 334.

As per the SAFAR’s prediction, the AQI in Delhi is likely to marginally improve to 305 but will remain in the ‘very poor’ category.

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Monday held a review meeting with concerned departments regarding air pollution and said that all construction activities would remain suspended in the nation Capital till further orders. The ban on the entry of trucks, barring those engaged in essential services, has been extended till November 30.

However,  the Delhi government reopened schools on Monday after they were closed due to high air pollution levels.
