New Delhi, Oct 12: Three Africans who are allegedly members of an international drug trafficking network were arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police on Thursday.
They were found to be in possession of 6.044 kg of methaqualone and 2.058 kg of heroin, which together are worth more than Rs. 40 crores in the international market.
They were also residing in the nation illegally, police stated.
“Three Delhi-based, illegally staying citizens of African origin, including two Nigerian and one Sierra Leone nationals associated with an Inter-National Narcotics Drugs Syndicate have been arrested by Special Cell,” Delhi Police said in a statement.
The police also reported confiscating fake VISAs and passports from them.
