New Delhi, Nov 25: Rajwinder Singh, a 38-year-old nurse who had a million-dollar bounty on his head for a murder in Australia, has been detained by the Delhi Police on Friday.
On October 21, 2018, Toyah Cordingley (24) was killed while walking her dog on Wangetti Beach in Queensland. Rajwinder Singh, the primary suspect in the crime, left Australia two days after Cordingley was killed, taking with him his job, wife, and three children.
The Queensland Police offered a one million Australian dollar (USD 633,000) reward three weeks ago for any information regarding Rajwinder Singh, who is from Buttar Kalan in Amritsar, Punjab.
“We know that Singh departed Cairns on October 22, the day after Toyah was murdered, and then flew from Sydney to India on the 23rd. His arrival in India has been confirmed,” a Queensland Police officer was quoted as saying by PTI on November 3.
