New Delhi, Sept 20: The Delhi Police will now question Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez’s stylist Leepakshi as part of a broadening investigation into the extortion case connected to imprisoned conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar in order to “explore the money trail of gifts handed to the star'” by Sukesh.

An official told news agency ANI that Jacqueline herself will be called in again by the Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing.

“Jacqueline was called for further interrogation. Her stylist Leepakshi also summoned but she couldn’t come. There were questions related to gifts given by Sukesh. Probe to resume once Leepakshi is back. Further summons to be given to Jacqueline,” said R Yadav, Spl CP, Crime/EoW.

“Investigations were done yesterday regarding the money trail of the gifts given by Sukesh and the diversion of funds. Further investigation on this matter will be done once Leepakshi comes back,” he added.

If called once more, Jacqueline Fernandez would be questioned by the Delhi Police three times over her alleged involvement in the case. On Monday, Jacqueline also appeared before the investigators. She and Pinki Irani, the suspected intermediary who brought the actor and Chandrashekhar together, were interrogated for more than eight hours on last Wednesday. The Delhi Police have also questioned actor Nora Fatehi in addition to Jacqueline.
