Delhi, Rajasthan reports four new Omicron cases

New Delhi, Dec 14: Delhi has reported 4 new cases of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus on Tuesday, taking the total number of omicron infections to 6 in the national capital, informed health minister Satyendar Jain.

“Of the 6 cases, 1 patient has been discharged from the hospital. Currently, 35 Covid positive patients & 3 suspected cases admitted to LNJP hospital,” said Satyendar Jain.

Meanwhile, four more people tested positive for Omicron variant of Coronavirus in Rajasthan on Tuesday, informed Rajasthan Health Minister Parsadi Lal Meena.

“The health condition of these patients is stable. All previous Omicron cases in the State have tested COVID negative noW,” said Parsadi Lal Meena.

Of the four infected people, three had come in contact with an infected family which returned from South Africa.

With the new cases reported on Tuesday, the total tally reaches to 49. With 20 patients, Maharashtra has the highest Omicron cases in India.

  • Maharashtra: 20
  • Rajasthan: 13
  • Gujarat 4
  • Karnataka: 3
  • Kerala: 1
  • Andhra Pradesh: 1
  • Delhi: 6
  • Chandigarh: 1
