New Delhi, April 26: Panic spread at Delhi Public School, Mathura Road in New Delhi  on Wednesday after school administrators received a bomb threat over email.

The school’s facilities were evacuated shortly after the threat, and a team of Delhi police then performed a thorough search of the area.

According to Delhi police officers, no suspicious items were discovered on the school’s grounds.

The Delhi Fire Services report that an email bomb threat was sent to Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, earlier in the day.

“There is no threat as no suspicious object was found on the school premises yet. The situation is normal. Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog squad and SWAT team sanitising the school buildings,” said DCP South East, Rajesh Deo.

He stated that an additional investigation is ongoing.

A bomb threat sent through email to a school in the capital earlier on April 12 was a hoax, according to Delhi Police.

A similar threat email was located on a server in Germany in November, according to the authorities..
