New Delhi: A blanket of fog enveloped parts of Delhi on Thursday morning, bringing the minimum temperature down to 7°C, as reported by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The dense fog disrupted train operations, delaying 18 trains arriving in the city from across the country.
Despite low visibility, flight services at Delhi Airport remain unaffected, with officials confirming that procedures to manage reduced visibility are in place.

The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Delhi, predicting moderate to dense fog during the morning and night hours. Additionally, light to very light rainfall is expected in parts of the city. Between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, Safdarjung recorded 3mm of rainfall, while Ayanagar logged 6mm.
Air Quality and Restrictions
As per the Supreme Court’s directions, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) may impose Stage-III restrictions if the Air Quality Index (AQI) exceeds 350 and Stage-IV restrictions if it surpasses 400.
