Deoghar: Awareness about cybercrime is only way to fight it, says Cyber DSP Sumit Prasad

Deoghar, Oct 15: As cybercriminals are being arrested by Deoghar district police, they have also taken up the initiative to spread awareness among the masses about cybercrime. With regard to it, the students of private schools are being trained and are made aware of cyber fishing.

Cyber DSP Sumit Prasad, while talking to lagatar24.com on Saturday, said that awareness of the common man is the only way to fight against the cyber menace and school children are the best messenger to spread awareness among the masses.

Notbaly, the Red Cross Society in Deoghar is continuously conducting awareness programs in various private schools in Deoghar to spread awareness among children about cybercrimes.

Prasad claimed that children always share everything with their parents. They even share with their neighbour what they have learnt at school.

According to DSP, a team consisting of a cyber police officer visit schools and teach children to avoid games on mobile and what not to do. He added that apart from cyber frauds, school goers are being also made aware of other ill acts.
