Deoghar: Missing man’s body found from Darwa River

Deoghar, Aug 23: A dead body floating in Darwa River has been recovered near Railway Bridge located in Singhwa today under Deoghar town police area.

The deceased has been identified as Vikky Kumar, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar under the town police station area. According to the information, he was missing since yesterday morning.

The police have also recovered a motorcycle and clothes near the spot. On searching through the clothes, an identity card was found which was then used to contact the deceased’s family.

The family members reached the spot and identified Vikky.

Vikky got married two years ago and had a child. It is being speculated that he might have drowned while bathing in the river. However, the police are investigating the case from angles.

Meanwhile, the body has been sent to Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
