Deputy Commissioner felicitates district teachers on Teachers Day

Jamshedpur, Sept 5: The Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Vijaya Jadav on Monday felicitated five teachers on the occasion of Teacher’s Day. Teachers were felicitated for their constructive contribution in teaching.

The teachers include Anju Kumari, assistant teacher, BPM +2 Uchcha Vidyalay, Burmamines in Jamshedpur; Sunil Kumar Bera, headmaster in charge, Utkramit Uchcha Vidyalaya, Madhupur, Chakulia; Sanjib Kumar Ghosh, headmaster in charge, Utkramit Uchcha Vidyalaya, Kerukocha, Chakulia; Shiv Shankar Polai, headmaster in charge, Utkramit Madhya Vidyalaya, Khejuria, Chakulia and Rajendra Kumar Karn, headmaster in charge, Prathamik Vidyalaya, Lupungdih, Jamshedpur.

Officials present in the function were deputy development commissioner, East Singhbhum Pradeep Prasad; additional deputy commissioner Saurabh Sinha, NEP director Jyotsna Singh; district education officer, East Singhbhum Nirmala Barelia and others were present at the programme.

Every year teachers are selected on the basis of their innovation, contribution to the education system and the school’s academic results. The selection starts at the block level to the district level where a dedicated committee decides and shortlists the recipients.

“There has been some extra effort put by these five teachers and that is why they have made their way here. Teachers are the real force in building a civilized society. Hopefully this appreciation shall help us build a better district in terms of education,” said the deputy commissioner.

The deputy commissioner also felicitated district toppers of the matriculate and intermediate exams this year. Intermediate arts topper Bulti Gorai from Jamshedpur Women’s College; commerce topper Megha Kumari from Adivasi +2 Uchcha Vidyalaya Sitaramdera and and science topper Sumit Mahto from S.S. +2 Uchcha Vidyalaya Patamda received the felicitation. Nine matric toppers received the felicitation too.
