Dhanbad court opens ‘war room’ for Covid patients

Dhanbad, Jan 11: Dhanbad District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) in collaboration with the district administration has set up a ’War Room’ today for providing medical advice and medicines facilities to Covid patients.

District and Session Judge Sriram Sharma while inaugurating the ‘War Room’ in the court premises, first of its kind in state, said that a civil surgeon nominated medical officer (doctor), para medical staff, para legal volunteer and retainer advocate would be present with necessary medicines in the war room.

DLSA has also issued two helpline numbers (86747 29929, 827121165) for the needy Covid patients to get services from the ‘War Room. The room would function from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

“Doctor of the ‘War room’ would provide advice and write medicines as per requirement. DLSA and district administration would make medicines available for the patients,” said the district and session judge Sriram Sharma, who is also chairman of DLSA.

Besides providing medical advice and medicines, the ‘War Room’ would also help Covid victims in getting beds in hospital and oxygen.

Additional judge cum DLSA secretary Nitisha Barla said that DLSA in collaboration with the district administration also provides medicine facilities to the Covid patient who cannot afford to purchase them.
