Dhanbad, Sept 14: The teachers and students of Sindri College Sindri on Wednesday celebrated ‘Hindi Diwas’ and took the resolution to promote the Hindi language by making the masses aware of its importance for the unity and integrity of the country.
Dr Nakul Prasad, principal of the college while presiding over the seminar, said that Hindi is our mother language and we should feel proud of it and work for its development and importance around the year.
The chief speaker of the seminar Dr Saroj Sinha, former Hindi head of the department, BBM College said that Hindi Diwas is a national festival.
“Celebrating Hindi Diwas should not be the main aim rather we should know its importance and give it due importance,” said Sinha. The chief speaker expressed concern that even after 75 years of freedom in the country, Hindi has not become the national language.
Dr Vishu Meghnani, Hindi head of the department Sindri College Sindri, said that Hindi is the soul of India. It is the need of the hour and duty of all to make common people aware of its importance.
Prof Anil Ashutosh, physics head of the department while speaking on the occasion made the participants of the seminar aware of how the Hindi language became popular in non- Hindi land of the country despite all odds.
Dr Manoj Tiwary (philosophy), Dr Anup Mehta and Dr Netu Gaurav (assistant professor Hindi department) also addressed the seminar and put up their opinion on the development of the Hindi language and the importance of celebrating Hindi Diwas.
