Ranveer Singh’s upcoming spy action thriller Dhurandhar 2 is generating huge excitement at the box office even before its release on March 19. The film’s paid preview shows have already witnessed strong advance bookings, indicating a powerful opening for the sequel.
Paid Preview Shows Scheduled On March 18
The makers have scheduled paid preview screenings one day before the official release, starting from 5 pm on March 18. Around 8,000 screenings have been planned across the country for these previews, running from evening until late night. Ticket sales for these shows have been rising rapidly.
Over 2.81 Lakh Tickets Sold In Advance
According to reports, advance bookings began on Saturday along with the trailer launch. By Tuesday morning, more than 2.81 lakh tickets had already been sold for the paid preview shows. The film has earned around ₹15.65 crore in gross advance booking across multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
If block seats are included, the advance revenue figure reportedly rises to around ₹21.20 crore.
Wide Range Of Ticket Prices
The producers—Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar—have adopted a dual pricing strategy for the film’s tickets. Premium recliner seats at Mumbai’s INOX Megaplex are priced as high as ₹2,900, while the cheapest tickets are available for ₹59 at AGS Cinemas in Chennai.
Advance Booking Performance By Language
Advance sales have been dominated by the Hindi version, which has crossed ₹15.30 crore in bookings. Other languages have also contributed to the overall numbers, with Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions recording steady ticket sales.
Strong Overseas Demand
The film is also performing strongly in overseas markets. In North America, advance bookings for the opening day have already crossed $1 million. For the USA premieres alone, about 38,545 tickets have been sold across 557 locations, generating approximately $618,911 (around ₹5.15 crore). Trade reports suggest that the opening weekend advance sales in North America could reach close to $2 million.
First Film Was A Massive Blockbuster
The first installment, Dhurandhar, released in December 2025, was a major blockbuster and earned over ₹1,305 crore worldwide. Despite releasing only in Hindi, it collected around ₹1,005 crore in India and remained in theatres for nearly 77 days.
