DPS Ranchi hosts meet on financial literacy for teachers

Ranchi, March 11: Delhi Public School Ranchi today hosted a training session on financial literacy as a hub activity for the teachers of hubs school under the initiative taken by the CBSE at Vivekanand Auditorium. Around 185 teachers from various schools across the city participated in this workshop.

Ashish Kushwaha, CA, was the resource person of the workshop.

The session enlightened the teachers on all aspects of financial management. He updated about the steps which should be adopted by an individual for financially secured future during their working tenure and even after retirement. He also discussed on several topics like the importance of Life Stage Planning, Do’s and Don’ts of Digital Payment, importance of Life Insurance, how to secure retirement challenges, how to increase your savings etc.

Kushwaha expressed that systematic investments should be made in insurance, PPF, SIP, Mutual Funds besides saving schemes and shares especially health insurance keeping in mind challenges of tomorrow.

Appreciating the initiative taken by CBSE in organizing such enriching workshops, Dr. Ram Singh, Principal, DPS Ranchi said, “Financial Literacy is an important step to develop a positive mindset towards finance management. It will assist people in becoming self-sufficient and financially stable. It will help them in developing a realistic roadmap that will guide them through their daily lives in making sound financial decisions.”
