Ranchi, Nov 5: Delhi Public School in Ranchi in association with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Patratu organised a counselling session for the students of Class IX on Saturday in accordance with the guidelines from CBSE and Central Vigilance Commission which aims to inculcate greater awareness about vigilance in students.
The theme of the session was ‘Corruption Free India for a Developed Nation. The main objective of the session was to sensitise students about the perils of corruption. The occasion was graced by Sachin Kumar Sharma, Manager, HR, BHEL, Patratu who was present as the Resource Person.
Addressing the students, Sharma highlighted the fact that corruption is a major barrier to the development of the country and through the collaborative efforts by the students; they can put the nation on the path of development rapidly by combating corruption.
He said, “We should aspire for a society where every day is corruption free and we should rise to eradicate the evil corrupt practices.” He further stressed the role of education in inculcating moral and ethical values of integrity.
After the session, a declamation competition was also organised for the students where they shared their perspectives to stop corruption and be vigilant towards society. The winners were felicitated with trophies.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr Ram Singh stressed the need of creating awareness about integrity, ethics and human values in student life. He said that corruption is a national evil that must be uprooted from our country to fulfil the vision of India as a developed nation.
