Daltonganj, Jan 10: The Jharkhand government has appointed medical officer Dr Dilip Kr Singh as the new superintendent of MMCH Daltonganj with immediate effect.

Dr Dilip will hold the post of medical superintendent of MMCH as an additional charge since he is already the medical officer at Manatu community health centre.

In another shake up, Dr Sunil Kr Singh, medical officer at community health centre Masliya has been deputed at the referral hospital Jarmundi in Dumka.

A senior official of the state health department Prabhu Nath Sharma has notified about the replacement of Dr Nagesh by Dr Dilip.

Sources said that the tenure of Dr Nagesh as the medical superintendent at MMCH has been ineffective. The residents and tutors had shut down work for payment of remuneration a few months ago and he could not handle the crisis effectively.

More than two dozen residents and tutors have threatened to boycott work in MMCH from this January 15 in protest against the same issue of payment of the remuneration dragging on for five months.
