Lucknow, March 14: A drunk Travel Ticket Examiner (TTE) was arrested after he urinates on a woman passenger on board Kolkata-bound Akal Takht Express on Sunday.
As per information, the woman was travelling with her husband Rajesh Kumar, both hailing from Amritsar.
According to the Government Railway Police (GRP) official, the incident occurred on Sunday midnight in the A1 coach of Akal Takht Express which was going from Amritsar to Kolkata.
Around midnight, the woman was sleeping on her seat when the incident took place. TT Munna Kumar of Bihar reportedly urinated on the woman’s head. After this, the husband and other passengers managed to grab the TT when the wife raised the alarm and gave him to the GRP.
On Monday, the TTE was detained by GRP when the train reached Charbagh Railway station and has been sent to judicial custody.
Moreover, a similar incident occurred on a flight a few months ago when a man who was intoxicated allegedly urinated on the woman seated next to him. The man was detained and given a 4-month ban from flying on Air India aircraft.
Another recent incident had a drunk man urinating on a passenger sitting next to him on an American Airlines trip from New York to Delhi. After this, the traveller was arrested at IGI Airport.
