Jamshedpur, Jan 30: IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre issued a forecast of dry weather over Jharkhand in the next 72 hours. Statistics revealed that the average temperature was above normal in most districts across the state in the past 24 hours.
The rise in both maximum and minimum readings prompted residents in several places to switch on ceiling fans. The Western Disturbance as a trough in middle and upper tropospheric
westerlies with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level now runs roughly along Long. 65°E to the north of Lat. 20°N.
An induced cyclonic circulation lies over southwest Rajasthan and the neighbourhood extending up to 1.5 Km above the mean sea level. A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect Western Himalayan Region from February 2.
For North and adjoining central parts, gradual rise in minimum temp by 2-3°C during the next two days, thereafter fall by 2-3 °C in the subsequent two days while in the rest parts, there is a gradual rise in minimum temperature by 2-3°C during next two days, thereafter fall by 2-3°C in subsequent two days.
