Ranchi, Dec 15: The demand for vacations is increasing among the residents of Jharkhand with the decreasing temperature. The residents have begun booking tickets for places like Goa, Rajasthan, and North Eastern states including Sikkim and Tripura.

Meanwhile, Bali, Dubai, Maldives and even United Kingdom are the favourite international vacation spots for Jharkhand vacationers.

Dilip Kumar of Adarsh Travels in Ranchi claimed, “People at the moment are mostly looking to travel to the northeastern vacation spots including Gangtok, Tripura and even Nagaland. These are usually chosen as one package. Apart from this, Goa is an all-time favourite destination for all, along with Ooty in Tamil Nadu, Mannar in Kerala, Coorg in Karnataka and even the Andaman Islands.”

When asked about the destinations outside the country, he said that most in demand are Indonesia, Vietnam, Dubai, Maldives and even UK. Kumar further added that several of these are also favourite honeymoon destinations amid the wedding season.

When questioned about Andaman and Nicobar, Kumar slyly said, “It is the favourite destination for government employees. This is because they can bear the travel costs, as a result of which, they are unofficially booking tickets for Port Blair. I say this because, after Covid, the travel prices for Andaman are very high, which normal middle-class families can’t afford, however, government employees can bear the costs.”

When asked about packages, he said, “In the case of North Eastern states, the price is about Rs 32,300 for five days and four nights per passenger. On the other hand, Thailand is for Rs 3000 airfare for five days and four nights in case of land package; Dubai is for Rs 40000+airfare for five days and four nights in case of land package.

Meanwhile, Maldives is for Rs 2,00,000+airfare for five days and four nights in case of land package; while Indonesia is for Rs 80000 + air fare for five days and four nights in case of land package.”

Another agent, Rohan, from Sri Sai Tour and Travels said, “Rajasthan, Jammu-Kashmir, Rishikesh, Shimla and Darjeeling are mostly in demand. Although, I’m not sure about destinations in South India, as I mostly cover packages for Northern India. However, internationally, the most requested destinations are Dubai, Bali, Mauritius and Thailand.”
