Dumka: In a major breakthrough, police have recovered 34 kgs of Marijuana during a raid conducted in a household in Banskuli village under the Tongra police station area last night.

Two persons including Sanatan Gorain and his son Hari Gorain have been arrested by the police whereas two others involved in the contraband business are still at large.

Dy SP (headquarter) Noor Mustafa who led the police team had raided Gorains house, said in a press conference here on Saturday that the narcotic consignment was kept by them for selling out in the market.

“Hari Gorai was arrested from his house during the raid itself whereas his father Sanatan Gorain was nabbed today from town police station area,” the Dy SP said. Two more accused, Dayal Gorain and Vamdev Gorain were still absconding with attempts to nab the duo.

An FIR in this connection was lodged with the Tongra police station under 20(2)/22 of the IPC and Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
