Early trends show BJP ahead in UP

Lucknow, March 10: Counting of votes for UP election began at 8 am on Thursday. The election to Uttar Pradesh’s 403 constituencies was held over seven phases from February 10 to March 7.

The voter turnout in Uttar Pradesh was between 55 and 65 percent in each of the seven rounds. Over the course of the seven rounds, voter turnout in Uttar Pradesh ranged from 55 to 65 percent.

The BJP is leading in 102 seats as against 46of its nearest rival Samajwadi Party in the initial rounds of counting of votes in Uttar Pradesh.

Apna Dal is at 5 and INC is at 4, as per the early trends.
