New Delhi, March 18: The Jorhat district of Assam was shaken by an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 on Saturday. There were tremors reported in the nearby areas as well.
The 3.6 magnitude earthquake struck Jorhat at 9:03 am at a depth of 50 Kilometers, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). However, no injuries or property damage have yet been recorded.

Last week, an earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale shook Assam early on Wednesday. The earthquakes were reported in Kamrup region at a depth of 10 kilometres at 3:59 am today, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). There were no reports of property damage or fatalities brought on by the earthquake.
