New Delhi, March 21: An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale hit 25 km west of Litayan, Philippines on Tuesday.
The Philippines is an archipelagic country in Southeast Asia.
As per the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred at 02:43:27 (UTC+05:30) and hit Litayan, Philippines on Tuesday, at a depth of 592.5 km.
The earthquake’s epicentre was 7.342°N and 123.802°E, respectively. However, no casualty or damage to property has been reported so far.
On Sunday, 12 people were killed after an earthquake of 6.8 magnitudes hit southern Ecuador. The USGS gave the tremor an ‘orange alert’, saying ‘significant casualties are likely and the disaster is potentially widespread.’
