ED recovers Rs 3 crore cash, suspects amount linked to Jharkhand CM’s aide Pankaj Mishra

Ranchi, July 8: The Enforcement Directorate is learnt to have seized cash worth rupees three crore so far during the raids in Sahibganj. The ED carried out raids at the residence of Pankaj Mishra where property deeds and other documents were seized.

 

During the raid at the premises of one of the businessmen named Hira Bhagat who operates stone mining at Belbhadri Pahad and Chuhiya Pahad, the ED is said to have recovered the above cash. The ED suspects the said cash was a part of the illegal mining and it may belong to Pankaj Mishra also who is currently being questioned by the ED in Delhi.

 

Meanwhile, the raids are going on and additional officials have been pressed to carry out searches at the residence and business premises of jeweller Sanjay Diwan. The ED sources said that questioning of Pankaj Mishra would continue tomorrow.
