ED takes Anil Deshmukh for medical examination, to be produced before PMLA court shortly

Mumbai, Nov 6: Former Home Minister of Maharashtra, Anil Deshmukh who was arrested in a money laundering case has been taken for medical examination from the ED office, prior to his appearance before the PMLA Court today.

Notably, the Mumbai Court in November 2 remanded Anil Deshmukh to Enforcement Directorate’s Custody for 4 days. ED on Thursday summoned his son Hrishikesh Deshmukh also for questioning on Friday in connection with the money laundering case. Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh alleged Anil Deshmukh that he was involved in several wrongdoings, including asking Sachin Waze to collect Rs 100 crore from bars and restaurants in Mumbai.
