New Delhi, Sept 22: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said that their party is fighting a machine that has captured the institutional framework of the country.

“We are fighting the machine that has captured the institutional framework in the country. They have unlimited ability to buy and threaten people and that’s what happened in Goa,” said Rahul Gandhi addressing a press at a convention centre.

By resuming the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra,’ Rahul Gandhi planted a sapling at the Union Christian College Aluva campus that he had carried from Lakshadweep. Additionally, he presented flowers to a mango tree that Mahatma Gandhi had planted on March 18, 1925, at the college.

On being asked about the one piece of advice he would give to Congress chief, Rahul Gandhi said, “you are taking a historic position which defines a particular view of India. Congress president is an ideological post. You represent a set of ideas, a belief system and vision of India.”
