FIR Filed for Hurting Religious Sentiments
An FIR has been lodged against actors Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, and other members of the film’s cast and crew. The complaint alleges that certain scenes and dialogues in ‘Jaat’ have hurt religious sentiments. The case has been filed under Section 299 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Christian Community Raises Objection
According to the FIR, Randeep Hooda is accused of disrespecting Jesus Christ and symbols considered sacred in Christianity. Members of the Christian community have raised objections and registered protests, stating that the film depicts religious elements in a derogatory manner.
Police Begins Investigation
The filmmakers have also been accused of intentionally including scenes that allegedly disrespect a particular religious community. Police have begun investigating the matter and assured that appropriate action will be taken after a thorough review of the content.

Despite the controversy, ‘Jaat’ has seen a strong run at the box office. In just eight days since its release, the film has grossed over ₹60 crore. Audiences have particularly appreciated the high-octane action sequences and powerful dialogues.
