New Delhi, Dec 13: Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut said on Monday the complaint lodged in Delhi against him for allegedly making an objectionable remark against female Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members was politically motivated and was filed to “suppress his voice”
“FIR registered against me in Delhi has been done with political motives & to suppress my voice. It has been done to defame my party as CBI, I-T, ED can’t be used against me,” said Sanjay Raut speaking to the media.
“I’m an MP, it’s not right to encourage some to register false complaints against me,” he added.

According to the Delhi police, an FIR has been registered on December 12 against Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut at Delhi’s Mandawali PS under Sections 509 & 500 of IPC for his alleged objectionable remarks against female BJP members, on the complaint of a woman BJP worker.
