New Delhi, Nov 20: In a shooting on Saturday night at a gay nightclub in Colorado Springs, five people were murdered and 18 others were hurt, according to authorities.
After the attack at Club Q, a suspect was detained and was receiving medical attention, Colorado Springs Lieutenant Pamela Castro announced during a press conference.
Just before midnight, according to Castro, police received the first phone call reporting the incident. Regarding the purpose of the attack, the police provided no information.
Images of the area immediately following the gunshot showed security and emergency cars parked on a street close to the location with flashing blinkers.
