Ranchi: Former Jharkhand Pradesh Congress General Secretary and ex-Gumla District Congress President Shiv Kumar Bhagat has rejoined the Congress party along with his supporters. The homecoming took place on Thursday at the state Congress headquarters, where State Congress President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh formally welcomed them back into the party by administering the membership oath.

Youth Inspired by Rahul Gandhi’s Campaign

Speaking at the event, Kamlesh said that Rahul Gandhi’s campaign to prevent vote theft has inspired the youth to align with Congress. He added that the party’s consistent efforts to raise the voice of the marginalized and oppressed have restored people’s faith in its leadership and mission for justice.

Youth and Marginalized Communities Driving Change

The state Congress chief emphasized that young people are now ready to fight for constitutional values, which he believes are under threat from attempts to alter India’s democratic framework. “When the deprived sections of society enter politics, they bring new ideas and energy,” he said, adding that the BJP’s leadership style and policies have alienated all sections of society. “Congress is the voice of the poor and oppressed, and any attempt by the BJP to suppress this voice will face a strong public backlash.”
