Ramgarh, Aug 18: Fake messages in the name of the electricity department are being circulated in Ramgarh to cheat money from the consumers.

Some consumers have complained that they received messages from unknown numbers through various mediums that “their electricity connection will be disconnected after 10:30 pm due to non-update of electricity payment for the previous month.”

The message also mentions that “To avoid this, they should contact on the given number.”

In this regard, Executive Engineer Electricity Division Ramgarh Lal Bihari Ranjan clarified that no such message is being sent by Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited for payment of electricity. So, the consumers should not respond to such messages. “Do not reply or pay any amount on the link received through any such message,” he said.
