G20 presidency an opportunity, proud moment for us: PM Modi in Mann ki Baat

New Delhi, Nov 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on the 95th episode of his monthly radio show, “Mann Ki Baat” on Sunday. In his monthly radio address, PM Modi stated that Amrit Kaal’s appointment as India’s G20 presidency was an opportunity for our country.

“People from across the country have written to me about how proud they are that India has got the G20 presidency. India has got this responsibility under Amrit Kaal,” said PM Modi.

“G20 presidency is an opportunity for us. We have to focus on global good, be it peace, unity or sustainable development, India has the solution to challenges related to these things. We have given the theme of ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’,” he added.

Notably, India will take up the G20 presidency for a year beginning on December 1 and host over 200 meetings with the goal of ensuring global economic progress and prosperity.

In his monthly radio speech, Prime Minister Modi urged India to make the most of its G20 leadership position by putting the welfare and good of the world first.

“Be it peace or unity, sensitivity towards environment or sustainable development, India has a solution to all these challenges,” he said.

In addition, PM Modi praised ISRO’s accomplishments and stated that when the rocket “Vikram S” was launched into space, the country accomplished a feat in the space industry. According to the prime minister, it contains a number of innovative features and was created by the private sector.

“India is sharing its success in the space sector with its neighbouring countries as well. Just yesterday, India launched a satellite, which has been jointly developed by India and Bhutan.” he said.
