Ramgarh, July 30: Giridih MP Chandra Prakash Chaudhary has lodged a complaint with the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla against the alleged impractical, indiscreet and abusive working style of the officers of ONGC.
The MP urged the Speaker to initiate a breach of privilege case against the officers.
He has apprised the LS Speaker that the officials of ONGC do not consider it necessary to give information about the work being done under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the inauguration and foundation stone laying of other schemes. They do not call the local MLA to inform them about the details. Rather they give information to the former MLA and call him and get a project inaugurated and lay the foundation stone.
“ONGC got the fault repaired in the motor installed in the intake well of the water supply scheme of Hazari Panchayat of Gomia block under Bokaro district of our parliamentary constituency by CSR. After this, the former MLA was invited and inaugurated before continuing the water supply again,” the Giridih MP said to the Speaker.
Similarly, the company also asked the former MLA to lay the foundation stone of 700 feet road in Pandariya Basti and construction work of two classrooms at Siari Middle School in Gomia block.
“By keeping me and the local MLA away from the work being done from the CSR fund and other related schemes, the ONGC officials under the Central Government have hurt our honour. My privilege has also been violated,” MP Chandra Prakash Chaudhary said.
He has also submitted a letter to the Speaker regarding this matter. The month, date and attitude of ONGC officials have been discussed in detail in the letter. He said that it is very necessary to initiate a breach of privilege case against the officers of ONGC and only then the dignity of the MP will be saved.
