Panaji, March 10: Counting of votes for the 40 seats of Goa assembly began at 8 am on Thursday, March 10. Bharatiya Janata Party, according to early trends, is leading in 18 constituencies while Congress is ahead in 12 seats in the 40-seat Goa assembly. The Maharashtrawadi Gomantak is leading at 5 and Aam Aadmi Party at 1, as per early EC trends.
Meanwhile, CM Pramod Sawant is leading by over 300 votes so far in Sanquelim.
“We are watching the result trends; People of Goa have voted for change,” said Girish Chodankar, Goa Congress President.
