Guru Nanak Jayanti: Sikh devotees take out grand Shobha Yatra in Ramgarh

Ramgarh, Nov 8: A grand and huge Shobha Yatra was taken out in Ramgarh on the eve of the 553rd Prakashotsav of the founder of Sikhism and the first Guru of Sikhs, Guru Nanak Dev Ji on Monday last.

A large number of men and women of the Sikh society participated in the procession which started from Bijulia and ended by reaching the Gurudwara via Main Road, Lohar Tola Road, Chatti Bazar, Jhanda Chowk, Thana Chowk, in the night.

The people attending the procession from the residence of Sardar Bhupendra Singh Jolly took the prasad of the langar and joined the procession. The grand tableau of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was the centre of attraction in the Shobha Yatra.

The world’s famous Khalsa Gatka team Amritsar, who came from Punjab in the procession, performed the martial arts. Sardar Kulbir Singh Chhabra, Gurpreet Singh Kalra, Sunpreet Singh Chandok, Guneet Singh Chhawda and Sarpreet Singh Chhabra were involved in the procession as Panj Pyare.

The procession was warmly welcomed by dozens of social organizations on all the routes of the city. Giridih MP Chandra Prakash Chaudhary also offered flower garland on the tableau.

Today, a grand event has been organized on the premises of Shri Guru Nanak Public School, Ramgarh. A langar has been organized in the auditorium from 1 pm. It will continue till 4:00 pm.

Ramgarh Gurdwara Pradhan Sardar Paramdeep Singh Kalra, Mit Pradhan Amarjit Singh Saini, Inderjit Singh Kalra, Ramendra Singh Gandhi, Harpal Singh Arora and others were present on the occasion.
