New Delhi, Sept 12: The maintainability of civil lawsuits contesting the ownership of the Gyanvapi mosque and the surrounding property will be decided upon by the Varanasi District and Sessions Court today. The district court’s decision in the Gyanvapi mosque-Shringar Gauri issue is imminent, thus prohibitory orders have been enacted and Varanasi security has been stepped up.
The district’s border regions, hotels, and guesthouses have all undergone increased inspection, and social media has also been monitored. In accordance with the Supreme Court’s directive, the district court is hearing the matter.
