New Delhi, Aug 23: BJP leader Sonali Phogat passed away from a heart attack last night. She reportedly visited the seaside state with a few of her employees.
Sonali Phogat (42), a BJP candidate from Adampur, ran against former Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi in the 2019 Haryana election. Last month, Bishnoi left his position as an MLA and joined the BJP. Sonali Phogat and Bishnoi had a meeting last week amid rumours that she might be the BJP candidate in the by-elections for Adampur.
With the help of her TikTok videos, Sonali Phogat gained notoriety and amassed a sizable fan base. She made her TV anchoring debut in 2006 and joined the BJP two years later. She also took part in the Bigg Boss 2020 season of the reality television programme.
