Ranchi/Hazaribagh: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court in Hazaribagh has scheduled the next hearing for November 1 in the case involving Vinay Singh and his wife Snigdha Singh, after the agency failed to submit the required case diary during the latest proceedings. The case pertains to alleged illegal land transactions and mutations of forest land during the tenure of IAS officer Vinay Chaubey as Hazaribagh Deputy Commissioner.
Case Diary Not Submitted by ACB
During the previous hearing, the court had directed the ACB to present the case diary related to the investigation. However, the agency sought additional time to file it. Accepting the request, the court postponed the hearing to November 1.
Vinay Singh, a close associate of IAS Vinay Chaubey and an automobile businessman, along with his wife Snigdha Singh, have been named accused in ACB Case No. 11/2025. According to the ACB, the disputed land registered under their names involves plots 1055, 1060, and 848 (28 decimals) under Khata No. 95, and plot 812 (72 decimals) under Khata No. 73, located in Babhanwe Mauza, Halka 11, Sadar Anchal of Hazaribagh. The land currently houses a Nexgen automobile showroom.
Bail Pleas Under Consideration
During the hearing, the Special Public Prosecutor appeared on behalf of the ACB, while advocate Shankar Banerjeerepresented Snigdha Singh. Vinay Singh has filed a regular bail petition, whereas Snigdha Singh has moved an anticipatory bail application.
The court will review both bail pleas and the ACB’s case diary submission in the upcoming hearing.
