Ramgarh, July 19: A girl student, living in a rented house in Devangana Chowk of Hazaribagh’s Korra police station area, committed suicide by hanging herself in her room.

The student was a resident of the Barkagaon police station area. Her father filed a case against Sonu Kumar, the operator of SRM Computer Center who is a resident of Dumri under Chauparan police station of the same district.

Allegedly, the accused had forced and abetted the student to commit suicide.

According to the information, the girl, along with her studies, used to work part-time in the said computer centre. There, an affair between the married computer centre operator Sonu Kumar and the girl started. Sonu also sexually assaulted the student. When the girl got pregnant, she started pressurising him to get married but Sonu was already married.

It has been said in the application that the girl was pressurizing Sonu to divorce his wife and get married to the deceased girl. However, Sonu did not budge and denied marrying the girl saying, “I will not divorce the wife under any circumstances. Do whatever you want.” This forced the girl to take her life.

After the filing of the complaint, the local police taking quick action arrested the accused and sent him to judicial custody.
